Not sure what to do with your hair this weekend? Take inspiration from The Lying Game’s Alice Greczyn for a sweet summer ‘do. Celebrity hairstylist and co-owner of New York’s Salon AKS Alain Pinon — he’s worked with Courteney Cox-Arquette and Cindy Crawford to name a few — is here to help you copy Alice’s great hair day.

Step 1: Start by applying mousse to wet tresses to control hold and frizz. Comb it through from roots to ends after applying.

Step 2: Blow dry your hair on low speed. Use your hand instead of a brush while doing so, and you can also dry your hair with your head upside down for more body. (But don’t try this on thick hair — you will get too much volume.)

Step 3: Create a loose center or side part that’s not too deep.

Step 4: Start curling one side with a 2-inch curling iron. Roll your iron counterclockwise so hair falls away from the face. When curling the back of your head, curl one section counterclockwise and the next clockwise. This allows everything to cascade into each other.

Step 5: For the finishing touches, gently spray your fingers with holding spray. Lightly follow the curls with your fingers without pulling on the curls. This will kick in shine and give extra hold.
